I would love if we could borrow lenses sometime from Midwest and learn from one another with similar gear or subject matter.

I enjoyed this session and thought it was a good overview of the basics related to abstract photography. Afterwards, I was vale to go home and look through my work to identify photos that would actually classify in the abstract genre. Thank you for the learning opportunity.

Great location, lots going on at the library, and the park out back was beautiful. Great content for learning street photography and good examples of some of the points discussed.

I enjoyed the event. Very good introduction to street photography - something I have not really done before. A fair amount of class time was spent on camera setting basics that I was already very well versed in. I would have preferred less time on this and more on the art of street photography, although I realize that there may be quite different levels of photography expertise among students, so such review of the basics is understandable

The subject material was targeted for someone who is new to photography and should be stated in the class description. The presentation was very good. The graphics were very good. Great job. I would recommend this class to someone.

I thought the presentation was quite good. Composition can be a complicated topic difficult to cover in a relatively brief presentation (I think - I am a bit of a novice). David did a nice job highlighting important points about composition and in giving feedback to participants brave enough to share their practice shots. And thanks for sharing the slides for further review.

After hearing for several days that there was "a chance" that we might see the Aurora Borealis, I prepped my gear (Sony A7iii with a 14mm Wide Angle Lens and my Tripod) on the off-chance that we would actually see the lights. I stepped out on my deck at about 10pm on Friday night (May 10th) and could faintly see that something was happening. Suddenly a portion of the sky turned fuschia and kept changing and moving. I ran in and hurriedly grabbed my gear just in time to catch the show before dimm

I took this photo at Pickerington Ponds around 7:00 pm earlier this year. The sunset made the goldenrods appear as if they were glowing, and this redwing blackbird was swinging on the plant while eating its seeds. I used a Nikon D500 with a 200-500mm f/5.6 lens. The camera settings were 1/1000s, ISO 7200, f/5.6, 500mm. I shot this image in RAW format and processed in LrC.

I took a nature photography class to try and keep up on my photography skills and see if I could learn something new. We were taking pictures of a waterfall and I decided to stand back and see if I could get a more interesting shot. This older lady walked up to look more closely at the waterfall and I thought it would be a great shot. It turned out much better than expected!

This image is a Still Life Composition of "Berries, Wine and Grapes" that I created on a rainy day in my bedroom. I used no fancy Studio Lighting at all. My only light source was a hand-held flashlight that I kept moving rapidly. It was an experiment in Light Painting when I couldn't go outside to shoot.
